Summary
Cracow Colloquium on f-electron systems (CCFES2015) was attended by 73 participants from 10 countries, which we feel as a success, since it took place for the first time in Cracow. We were especially happy that nearly 43% of participants were Ph.D. students.
The Colloquium was officially opened by the welcome address speech of Prof. Kazimierz Karolczak-Vice-Rector of the Pedagogical University of Cracow (PUC), of Prof. Władysław Błasiak-Dean of Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Technical Science (WMFT)-PUC and of Prof. Bartłomiej Pokrzywka-Director of Institute of Physics (IF)-PUC.
CCFES2015 could not be organized without substantial financial support from the Rector of Pedagogical University of Cracow and from the Dean of Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Technical Science-PUC.
All the lectures and talks were conducted in the lecture room in the new building of PUC built up in the framework of the Infrastructure and Environment Programme co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. We highly acknowledge the support of Prof. Andrzej Rzepka-Director of Institute of Biology-PUC for the possibility of accessing to both lecture rooms 110N and 111N. Thus the participants could have not only the fruitful time during the lectures but also pleasant time during the breaks between the scientific sessions.
CCFES2015 could not be organized without great effort of the members of the Organising Committee and technical support of other members of the IF-PUC and especially of many Ph.D. students of WMFT-PUC.
CCFES2015 consisted of 10 scientific sessions with 11 invited talks and 25 oral talks as well as one poster session with 28 posters presented. Posters P-16 and P-17 have won the best poster awards.
We thank to all who contributed to made the Cracow Colloqium on f-electron systems a successful event.
